Financing opportunities for major infrastructure projects for climate change in Western Sweden
Within the process industry's climate transition, more projects are needed that contain collaborations between many parties. This project examines how the process industry in Western Sweden can get funding for major infrastructure projects for climate change, for example through the EU's innovation fund.
The purpose of the project is to contribute long-term to achieving net-zero emissions in West Sweden by increasing knowledge about opportunities for public financing for, among other things, infrastructure for the capture, transport and storage of carbon dioxide.
By increasing knowledge about financing opportunities and cooperation between existing projects and between a large number of different actors, the goal is to make it easier for several western Swedish industries to seek and obtain public funding, for example for infrastructure for the capture and transport of carbon dioxide to a large port, for use or final storage. Parts of the project's results are expected to be generic, such as proposals for strategies to get access to the available public money, and thus also be able to be applied in a valuable way within other projects and ventures where financing for larger investments is required and where the investment itself is beneficial several industries and public actors.
