Continuation study on regional surplus heat
The project intends to conduct a quality review of the availability of heat at Borealis and Perstorp in Stenungsund.
The goal is to obtain a current residual heat potential based on the development of recent years. The project focuses on the following parts:
- Availability (volumes and temperature levels) of surplus heat in Stenungsund, an overview of the situation and future forecast.
- Conclusions from the ongoing work on " Joint energy system in the chemical cluster in Stenungsund ".
- Regional assessment of the need for heat.
The project is a deepening of " West Swedish collaboration around industrial surplus heat " and means an opportunity to shed light on the impact of various key parameters on the calculations.
The objective is to identify the residual heat potential for Borealis and Perstorp in the light of the latest developments in the respective industries. This is a basis for being able to see the energy system in a holistic perspective and to be able to continue with analyzes of industrial symbiosis and various possible projects.
