As  partner manager, Stina Welming will take on a special responsibility to develop an attractive network arena that meets the needs and desires of our current member organizations. She will also identify new actors who can fit in and complement the partnership composition.

“I am looking forward to meeting all the members and bringing them together in various ways. It’s when we meet and work together that we really get things done,” says Stina Welming.

Worked for Sustainable Chemistry

Many of the larger Stenungsund companies are already familiar with Stina, as she has worked for over ten years with communication within the chemical industry, both as a consultant and as an employee at AkzoNobel, later Nouryon. She has also worked for an extended period within Sustainable Chemistry, which is driving the green transition within the chemical cluster in Stenungsund.

In addition to representing the members’ interests, Stina Welming will also be responsible for the focus area Competence within Climate Leading Process Industry.

CEO of a successful publicly listed start-up

Thomas Sörensson most recently served as the CEO of Scandinavian Enviro Systems, a Swedish company with patented technology that has quickly become one of the world’s leaders in tire recycling and the production of valuable raw materials from these materials.

Scandinavian Enviro Systems has long been an active member of the West Swedish Chemistry and Materials Cluster, and Thomas has closely seen how valuable the network has been. Since its founding in 2001, Scandinavian Enviro Systems has moved from being an innovation-driven start-up to having an established and industrially leading position. The company’s development during Thomas Sörensson’s eight years as CEO can be symbolized by the increase in its market value from around SEK 50 million to over SEK 2 billion. He now brings this broad experience into his new role as the focus area manager for New Products and Services.

“I can relate to the situation of smaller companies and understand the type of support they need. I really like the idea of all the opportunities that exist in the sustainable transition, both in terms of doing business, but also as an opportunity for the region to take a leading role. Then, of course, I come from the recycling side and find it interesting to look at waste streams from the process industry and what more can be done with them,” says Thomas Sörensson.

Thomas takes over as the focus area manager for New Products and Services after Hedvig Pollak, who has moved on to a position as a senior sustainability specialist at NKT in Denmark.
