Energy in Focus for New Members

In 2024, seven new member organizations joined Climate-Leading Process Industry and the West Sweden Chemical and Materials Cluster. Almost all of them share the common denominator of Energy, and together they represent a wide range of technologies, sizes, and years of operation. See the full list in alphabetical order here.

1. Blykalla

Blykalla is a Swedish producer of advanced small modular reactors (SMRs). Our design is based on 25+ years of research, which we are now taking to market. A perfect complement to intermittent energy sources, our goal is to provide the baseload energy necessary to enable a full transition to a fossil free future. We are currently working together with global utilities and partners to deliver Sweden’s next nuclear reactor, with planned criticality by 2029.

2. Ebeco

At the family-owned company Ebeco, we have been working with heating solutions since Ebbe Larsson founded the company in the late 1970s. It started with underfloor heating, and over the course of 40 years, we have introduced a series of innovations that have shaped the entire market for heating cables. Today, we offer the broadest and most comprehensive range of heating solutions in four business areas: indoor, outdoor, construction, and industry.

3. Green-on

The climate crisis threatens our shores, our way of life, and even our food supply. Do you ever wish you could just eat that CO2 that everyone is panicking about? Well, turns out you can. By turning it into alternative oils and fats, without using arable land.

5. Rivus

6. RWE

With more than 125 years of successful history behind us, RWE has undergone fundamental change and is now a leading supplier of renewables worldwide. With wind farms, solar power and battery storage facilities in many countries. Even today, most of our core business is green electricity.

7. Statkraft

Statkraft has over 100 years of experience in producing what the world needs today – renewable energy. Today, we are Europe’s largest supplier of renewable energy and a global market player in energy trading. We produce hydropower, wind power, solar power, and gas power, deliver district heating, and buy and sell energy.
