Sustainable carbon flows
There is a large industrial demand for sustainable, circular carbon from diverse sources. Addressing this requires deeper insight into elemental carbon sources across different scales.
The overall goal of this area is to increase knowledge and accelerate the implementation of strategies for sustainable carbon. The area is implemented through three sub-areas; Circular, Biobased and Carbon Dioxide.
Circular: Addresses the challenge of establishing value chains where materials from waste can circulate.
Bio-based: Focuses on implementing bio-based value chains that use residual streams originating from forestry or agriculture.
Carbon dioxide: Focuses on strategies for the capture, use and storage of biogenic and fossil carbon dioxide (CCUS).
