Competence
Here, work is being developed to increase awareness of knowledge and training needs for the industrial sector, and we collaborate with the region's training center to match skills needs with demand on the labor market.
Why Competence?
A long-term competence supply is a key to secured long-term regional growth. During 2019–2021, strategic regional collaborations have been started in this area and several issues regarding the region's supply of skills have been raised. For example, the issue of raising interest in chemistry and chemical technology in the region has been addressed through webinar arrangements and the Keminspiration project started by Molekylverkstan, where high school students teach high school students about chemistry.
What do we focus on?
Competence mapping of the chemical industry has been carried out in the region outside Klimatledende Processindustri's auspices, which can provide input for further activities within the initiative, for example through an update of the competence mapping that was done in 2016.
The ambition is to strengthen cooperation with regional and national actors that have a connection to the supply of skills. This is with the aim of increasing interest in chemistry and chemical technology and working to ensure that the skills required for changeover are established in the region.
Our goals until 2025
• An extended network for joint activities has been established with other regional actors in education and competence, by such actors regularly participating in Klimatledende Processindustri's competence activities or vice versa - 2025-12-31
